The Towne House Names New Leadership

Subscribe NowAmy Scheffer has been named executive director of The Towne House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. She has worked for The Towne House for a total of 23 years over two stints. Early in her career, Scheffer was a nurse aid and charge nurse. More recently, she served as director of nursing, director of health services and director of administration. Scheffer earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Francis University and master’s in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Scheffer succeeds Dan Carr, who served as executive director of The Towne House for 32 years. He has been promoted to vice president of operations for BHI Retirement Communities.
Also, Mark Price has been promoted to associate executive director. He most recently served as rehab director since 2010. Prior to that, Price served as vice president of Midwest Rehab. He earned an associates degree from Rhodes State College and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern Ohio University.
The Towne House is an affiliate of Indiana-based, nonprofit BHI Senior Living. In addition to The Towne House, BHI owns three other continuing care retirement communities: Four Seasons in Columbus, Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, and Wesley Manor in Frankfort.
