IMS to Offer ‘Tiny’ Accommodations For 500

Subscribe NowThe Indianapolis Motor Speedway is offering another luxury accommodation for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500. The Speedway is partnering with Try It Tiny LLC to create the Tiny House Hotel, which will give race fans the chance to stay at the track during race weekend.
IMS says each of the 15 tiny houses available in the Tiny House Hotel will feature a variety of amenities, including a compact kitchen, bathroom, air conditioning and sleeping quarters. Fans will be able to choose from several different layouts and options.
IMS President Doug Boles says the speedway decided to take the "glamping" concept introduced at the track a few years ago "to the next level."
"When you come to Indianapolis for the Indy 500 and you’re looking for new ways to really experience it, I think we’ve come up with maybe the best way to do that across the board," Boles said during a news conference Monday. "It’s a great way to experience the Indy 500, right there lakeside in the middle of the glamping community."
Fans will have access to a tiny house from Thursday, May 24 until Monday, May 28. A stay in one of the houses comes with four general admission tickets to the race, on-site parking and a private concierge service, among other amenities. A full weekend stay will cost $3,000.
