The Indiana National Guard has appointed Maj. Charles Wimp director of public affairs. He succeeds Maj. Benjamin Tooley, who is leaving to become the operations officer for the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team based in Lawrence. Wimp, who returned from Afghanistan in October, most recently served as the Indiana National Guard’s strategic operations officer at Stout Field in Indianapolis. He holds a Master’s Degree in Executive Development from Ball State University.
