Blunt’s previous roles include legislative director for the city of Indianapolis and vice president at Bose Public Affairs Group.
Blunt will oversee the office’s efforts to promote inclusiveness in the city’s economic growth and boost business opportunities for minorities, women, veterans and people with disabilities. Hogsett says Blunt’s skills and previous experience "perfectly positions her to support and uplift local businesses of all backgrounds."
As legislative director for Indianapolis, Blunt was in charge of executing the city’s legislative agenda on the state and federal level. She served in the role since January 2016. Hogsett’s office says she was able to attract bipartisan support on many legislative items, including the city’s 2018 budget.
Blunt sits on several boards throughout Indianapolis and is a member of the Ball State Alumni Association and Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana.
