The Cake Bake Shop says its new restaurant will be located at Carmel City Center, inside the Baldwin building, which is still under construction.
The bakery says the new location, which will cover double the square footage of the original Broad Ripple location, is expected to open in the fall of 2018. Founder Gwendolyn Rogers calls the Carmel location a "dream come true."
"To design, build, decorate and create a world that is filled with beautiful things from the food to the holiday decorations," said Rogers, "I am the most excited about having a large enough kitchen to make all the yummy things I want to make. I have been waiting to make Beignets and Pommes Frites for three years now. I look forward to sharing this special place with everyone who walks through the door."
In addition to the 3,600 square feet of space inside the Baldwin building, the Carmel location will also include outdoor dining and free parking.
