The latest round of funding will support efforts including family financial planning, an apprenticeship program and transitional living.
The Indianapolis Foundation, founded in 1916, is an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Foundation. The organization awards about $7 million per year to support current and future community needs in Marion County.

Fletcher Place Community Center; General operating support; $35,000
Freewheelin’ Community Bikes; Youth Educational Apprenticeship Program, Outplacement Partnership and Master Apprenticeship; $16,000
Indiana University Foundation; Cultural Ecologies Project (CEP); $50,000
Joy’s House; General operating support; $50,000
Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library; Year of Vonnegut: Celebrating Kurt Vonnegut’s Legacy and Common Decency; $35,000
Midtown Indianapolis, Inc.; Concord at Maple Crossing and Tarkington Park programming; $50,000
Nine 13 Sports; Renovation of new space; $18,000
Partners In Housing; Improving hiring and turnover reduction to better serve residents; $40,000
ProAct Community Partnerships; Service learning program expansion to create effective servant leaders for now and in the future; $10,000
Southside Youth Council (Reach for Youth); Evaluation planning to enhance ATE and Teen Court Program Outcomes; $25,000
