Parkview Field Earns Another National Honor

The Parkview Field grounds crew has won the Sports Turf Managers Association "Field of the Year" award, which covers all Major League, Minor League and independent league teams.
A panel of 13 judges determined the award. The group scored entries based on factors including playability, the appearance of surfaces, use of innovative solutions, effective use of budget and comprehensive agronomic programs.
The crew will receive the award at the 29th annual STMA Conference & Exhibition in Fort Worth, Texas from January 16-19, 2018. Other "field of the year" winners included South Carolina Upstate baseball, Stetson University softball, Georgia Tech football and FC Dallas of Major League Soccer. They will all be featured next year in an issue of SportsTurf Magazine, which is STMA’s monthly publication.
The TinCaps have won the Midwest League’s Grounds Crew of the Year six of the last eight years.
