The organization, which is independent of the Purdue University and Indiana University alumni associations, is open to anyone who graduated from the IPFW campus.
The organization decided to rebrand after the agreements by Purdue and IU to end joint oversight of the school. IPFW Vice Chancellor For Advancement Angie Fincannon says the new name "not only celebrates the history of our campus, but is inclusive of every student who has experienced it."
IPFW worked with LaBov Marketing Communication and Training in Fort Wayne to develop the new brand for the alumni association. The school announced the new name Thursday during the 19th annual Mastodon Roast at the IPFW Alumni Center.
The school claims about 59,000 alumni.
