Grow Wabash County will present Parkview Wabash Hospital with the honor next month.
The organization says the hospital will become one of a select group of businesses to receive the Business of the Year Award more than once. The hospital received the honor in 1986, when it was known was Wabash County Hospital.
The roots of Parkview Wabash Hospital date back to 1904 when it was known as Park Hospital. It was renamed Wabash County Hospital in 1919, which lasted until 2015, when its name received its current name.
Last year, the hospital broke ground on a $35 million campus in Wabash. Parkview Health held a topping out ceremony in March with crews placing the final steel beam of the structure. The new hospital is expected to open in the summer of 2018.
Grow Wabash County will present the Business of the Year award to Parkview Wabash Hospital at its 2017 Celebration dinner on October 12.
