He previously practiced at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. McPike also has experience representing investors in connection with prospective private equity fund investments and with the federal and state securities laws implications of private equity investments. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk for then-Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard on the Indiana Supreme Court. McPike received a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in political science from American University. He also attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
Also, Brittany Shaw (pictured) has been named an associate in the litigation group. Her experience includes all trial-related matters concerning corporate, business, contract and employment issues. Shaw serves on the board of directors for the Young Professionals of Central Indiana and is also the chair of YP Unite. She earned her B.S. in management from Purdue University and her J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
Elizabeth Shuster (pictured) has also joined the firm as partner in the intellectual property group. She is the former chair of the intellectual property section of the Indiana State Bar Association and is also the co-founder of the Indy Attorneys Network Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. Shuster earned her B.S. and M.S. civil engineering degrees from the University of Illinois and her J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
The firm has also appointed Kim Rhoades of counsel in the health & life sciences group. She previously served as director of the Indiana State Department of Health’s Long-Term Care Division, where she was responsible for administering laws governing operations of nursing facilities and residential care facilities.
