St. Vincent Details Job Cuts

In a notice to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the health care provider says an expanded partnership with a revenue cycle management company will result in the loss of 111 jobs in Anderson, Evansville, Indianapolis, Kokomo and Salem.
In early May, St. Vincent parent Ascension Health announced an expansion of an existing agreement with Chicago-based R1 RCM Inc. (Nasdaq: RCM) that involves consolidating revenue cycle management functions.
In its notice filed with the state, St. Vincent says the positions include: patient access representatives, insurance and pre-certification specialists, information management team leads, a patient access system manager, a patient access team lead and medical records transcriptionists.
Jobs in Indianapolis are slated to be cut by July 31, while the reductions at all other sites are set to take place before August 31. St. Vincent says it will offer severance packages to eligible affected employees.
