State revenues in April were $78 million below the most recent forecast. The Indiana State Budget Agency says last month’s total of more than $1.8 billion is nearly 1 percent higher than the same month in 2016.

The General Fund revenue totals missed projections by 4 percent. Year-to-date collections stand at $12.3 billion, which is $34.8 million below the April 2017 revenue forecast, but $334 million higher than the same period the previous year.

Sales tax collections and corporate tax collections were 0.5 percent and 33.7 percent above the monthly estimate, respectively. Individual income tax collections, riverboat wagering collections and racino wagering collections were all below estimates in April.
