Carmel to Open State’s Next Coworking Space

Platform 24 is a partnership between Indianapolis-based The Speak Easy and The Brookfield Group in Carmel. The facility has open areas for up to 60, adjustable desks to seat 30 and eight offices.
The cofounders of the space are Brookfield Group Chief Technology Officer Daniel Abdallah and Archon Tech Strategies Chief Executive Officer Tony Unfried. Members of The Speak Easy will now have access to four spaces: Platform 24, the original and downtown Indianapolis locations of The Speak Easy and zWORKS in Zionsville.
Platform 24 sports seating for up to 60 people in open coworking areas, 30 at adjustable desks and several more in the eight dedicated offices. The space also features 70-inch mounted televisions, two conference rooms, a commercial printer and a kitchen for use by members.
Platform 24 is located at 12400 Meridian Street in Carmel. Mayor Jim Brainard says "I welcome the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit Platform 24 will bring to our community. Carmel is known throughout the Midwest as a city willing to push the envelope. I believe the startups and small businesses that flock to Platform 24 will find their long-term home here in Hamilton County."
The Speak Easy says more than 170 companies have emerged from its communities over the last six years, leading to some 1,500 jobs central Indiana jobs. Platform 24 joins some four dozen other coworking spaces throughout the state according to the Indiana Coworking Passport.
A ribbon cutting and grand opening is slated for April 13.
