Klutz was elected Allen County auditor in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. She previously served as the county’s chief deputy auditor and is currently president-elect of the Indiana Auditor’s Association. Holcomb’s office says Klutz will be the first certified public accountant to serve as state auditor in Indiana history.
Governor-elect Eric Holcomb calls Klutz a "valuable asset," saying she has proven she can provide "efficient and effective government service to the citizens of one of Indiana’s largest counties."
Klutz will be sworn in along with Holcomb, Crouch and other statewide office-holders on Monday, January 9.
Before entering the public sector, Klutz was a senior accountant and auditor with the PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC and Crowe Chizek LLC. She earned her degree from Indiana University in Fort Wayne.
