Shelley Klingerman tells Inside INdiana Business Launch Terre Haute has reached its first-year target of 60 members and has also connected on more than two dozen corporate partnerships.

The organization hosted a breakfast event Wednesday at the Clabber Girl Corp. headquarters to toast early accomplishments. It included a presentation by Ball State University Economic and Community Development Director Dick Heupel on the current economy and where spaces like Launch Terre Haute fit in.
Klingerman says Launch Terre Haute is raising the bar for its next set of goals. "We definitely want to increase our membership. Our goal next year will probably be upwards of 100 members and that would start putting us toward capacity of our current location. We already have a shortage of conference rooms and private offices that have been in-demand. We’re looking at what our next move could be to accommodate these individuals who are wanting to get in here."
She says the coworking community is often pigeonholed as only tech entrepreneurs. Tech-enabled industries are a common thread of many members, Klingerman says, but there are a variety of industries represented at the space.
Launch Terre Haute opened its doors at the renovated, historic Deming Building in the city’s downtown in January.
