The president of the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville has resigned. The organization says Chris Kinnett, who has served in the position since March 2015, has left to seek other opportunities.

The Growth Alliance board of directors has named board member Thom Endress interim president. Endress is the former vice president and general manager of Evansville-based Crescent Plastics.

"We thank Chris for his valuable service, and for being a strong advocate and champion for the Evansville community," said Board Chairman Alfonso Vidal.

The organization did not give a time frame for naming Kinnett’s permanent successor, but says the appointment of an interim president "marks a new chapter and leadership opportunity for the Growth Alliance."

Kinnett previously served as director of business development for the organization before being promoted to president.
