Mayor Duke Bennett will be on hand for the event to celebrate the restaurant that will bring 70-80 jobs to the area.
A spokeswoman says the typical investment for a new LongHorn restaurant is up to $3.5 million, including building, equipment, furniture and other construction costs. She says the new location at 3290 S. U.S. 41 will be led by Managing Partner Catherine Fetter.
The "lasso cutting" will take place at 3:00 p.m. Monday and the restaurant will open to the public at 4:00. LongHorn says, as part of its pre-opening training period, it is hosting "Friends & Family" events with proceeds benefiting the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club.
