Precast Concrete Company Planning to Hire Dozens

Subscribe NowA concrete component manufacturer is planning to locate a facility in Charlestown and add 80 southeast Indiana jobs. Ohio Valley Precast LLC, a subsidiary of Kentucky-based Bristol Group, says it will invest $12 million into a multi-stage operation to serve customers throughout the region.
Over the next five years, the company plans to reach production levels for it precast concrete components of three million square-feet annually. Bristol Group’s Lexington, Kentucky operation employs more than 100 currently. The company plans to fill supervisory, engineering and production operator openings in Indiana next year. These jobs are expected to pay 30 percent higher than the average wage in Clark County.
Ohio Valley Precast President Todd Ball says "with this new operation, our company will be able to capitalize on a strong existing demand in the region, while also taking advantage of Indiana’s best-in-class business climate. With changing building codes and a tight construction labor market, our insulated precast wall panels bring an unmatched value to owners, developers and contractors. We are looking forward to starting construction and hiring Hoosiers as soon as possible."
The company’s specialties include civil, industrial, commercial design and construction services. Its client list includes Hitachi Automotive, DHL, North American Stainless, Marriott, Hyatt, UPS and the U.S. General Services Administration.
Ohio Valley Precast has been offered nearly $700,000 in conditional tax credits and training grants from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. and some tax incentives from the Clark County Council.
