(NYSE: CGI) has opened a sales office in central Ohio. Celadon Logistics says the opening of its new regional office in Columbus is the result of "incredible growth" over the past several years.
Celadon Logistics says the Columbus office joins other recently-opened sales offices in the Dallas and St. Louis markets. The company also recently opened a multi-client warehouse in Laredo, Texas.
"We are excited about the rapid growth that Celadon Logistics has experienced over the past several years in Central Ohio and are excited about the opportunities that come with opening this new office," said Jon Russell, president of Celadon Logistics. "These actions clearly underscore the company’s commitment to consistently exceed the results expected by new and existing clients in 2017 and beyond."
The company has hired Trent Dye, a former director for Ohio-based Paramount Freight Systems, to serve as general manager of the new office. Jay Frieden, vice president of Celadon Logistics, says they expect to establish and grow the company’s presence in the Columbus market under Trent’s leadership.
