Lilly to Announce Expanded Global Partnership

(NYSE: LLY) is set to detail what it calls an ambitious plan to boost access to health care worldwide. Officials will Tuesday morning unveil the multi-million proposal which they say involves increased investment in the Lilly Global Health Partnership.
The company says the goal is to fill gaps in treatment for diabetes, cancer and tuberculosis, particularly for patients in "resource-limited settings." It says the target is to increase the number of people in those challenged circumstances by sixfold.
Last month, the Lilly Global Health Partnership announced it was expanding its presence in Mexico and seven other nations.
