Ritz Names More ‘Promising Practices’

Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz says the programs are being recognized for the positive influence they have on students.
The IDOE says the latest additions focus on the areas of student-centered programming, research-based practices, school climate and culture, family and community engagement, school safety, counseling support and wrap-around services. The department has recognized 170 Promising Practices to date, ahead of its goal of reaching 200 by year’s end in honor of the state’s bicentennial.
