Downtown Indy YMCA to Bear Irsay Name

In honor of the gift from Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, the facility will be known as the Irsay Family YMCA and bear the team’s horseshoe logo.
Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett also took part in today’s announcement, as did Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Bart Peterson and YMCA of Greater Indianapolis CEO Eric Ellsworth.
The $24 million YMCA opened late last year. The three-story building in the CityWay development near the Eli Lilly campus features two indoor swimming pools, three full-size basketball courts, an elevated running track, a green roof and a chapel. It is the city’s first full-service downtown Y.
