The email signature platform announced plans this morning to invest $1.4 million into a downtown expansion, which includes more than 100 jobs. Founder Dan Hanrahan says digital marketing predecessors like ExactTarget and Aprimo have bred the next generation of tech companies and the skilled work force that comes with it, making the talent pool very competitive.
In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Hanrahan says Sigstr has found a "sweet spot" at a unique era of technological prosperity for the city. "We are sort of inventing and really unlocking a new digital concept," he says, "and every company uses email, right, and so the total market opportunity is really unparalleled in terms of the types of businesses, the kinds of companies, the size of the opportunity and so it’s (the potential market) certainly well into the billions and we’re on our way to opening it up to all marketers."
Hanrahan spent several years in the talent recruiting side of the industry and says Indianapolis and the state as a whole possesses enough engineering, sales and marketing talent to fill the open positions.
