South Bend-based Vennli has earned a prestigious innovation honor. The analytics platform has been named a Red Herring Top 100 North America award winner.

Red Herring uses more than 20 criteria, including growth rate, venture investment and social contribution, to put together the list. The organization says its editors were "among the first to recognize" companies including Facebook, Twitter and Google.

Vennli says its platform gathers real-time insights about customers and why they choose a particular company or its competition. It says the information helps clients align decisions with customer needs.

Vennli Chief Executive Officer Gary Gigot says he is "very pleased to be included on this list of high-growth, high-potential companies."
