Leaders in Elkhart County have detailed a slate of 75 proposals designed to boost quality of life in the community. The Draft Action Agenda is part of the ongoing Vibrant Communities Summit on the Future initiative, a partnership between the Community Foundation of Elkhart County and the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

During a meeting Wednesday to discuss the projects, programs and policies involved in the agenda, Community Foundation President Pete McCown also unveiled the $50,000 "Vibrant Bucks" micro-grant program aimed at sparking creative ideas for the county.

Organizers of Vibrant Communities continue to accept feedback on the proposals as they work to finalize the Action Agenda. The initiative formally launched in January and implementation workshops for creative concepts will be held throughout the next year.
