The 12 millionth fan is expected at tonight’s game against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The team expects a crowd of more than 10,000 tonight.
The milestone comes as the Indians continue to celebrate fan growth. The team set franchise records for single-season attendance in 2014 and 2015. The Indians drew 662,536 fans last year. The team says, since Victory Field opened in 1996, only one Minor League Baseball team, the Buffalo Bisons, has had higher attendance.
Visit Indy Chief Executive Officer Leonard Hoops calls Victory Field "an incredible asset to the 27.4 million visitors that travel to Indy annually."
