Lantzy comes to IU Health from Pittsburgh-based Gateway Health, where he served as CIO and chief operations officer. In his new role, Lantzy will have overall responsibility for information services at IU Health’s 16-hospital system, health plans and physicians network.
"I am very pleased to join an organization so important to the lives of our patients and Hoosiers," said Lantzy. "There is a rapidly growing technology sector in Indianapolis and the opportunity to bring innovation and new approaches to our health information technology capability is exciting."
Lantzy previously served in leadership positions for WellCare Health Plans, Aenta and Accenture. IU Health says McConnell will stay with the health system for several months to serve in a human relations role.
