An Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore beach is featured in two USA Today Readers’ Choice Top 10 lists. West Beach was voted as a Best National Park Beach and Best Freshwater Beach.

West Beach was ranked number four on the Best National Park Beach list. Cape Lookout at Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina took the top spot on the list, followed by Johnson Beach at Florida’s Gulf Islands National Seashore and Assateague Beach at Assateague Island National Seashore.

West Beach was also ranked number five on the Best Freshwater Beach list. Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania was ranked number one, followed by Grand Haven State Park in Michigan, Park Point Beach in Minnesota and North Beach in Racine, Wisconsin.

Indiana Dunes also advanced to the second around of Coastal Living’s "Best Beach in America 2016: Bracket Madness" contest. Voting for the second round continues until March 23.
