Chairman Larry Dunigan, who has been on the board for 34 years, will not seek reelection. The board has selected Old National Chief Executive Officer Bob Jones to be the next chairman, effective May 12. Former Indiana lieutenant governor and current CEO of Bedford-based Radius Indiana Becky Skillman has been appointed lead director of the board.
In the new role, Skillman will chair the board’s corporate governance and nominating committees, serve as a liaison between Jones and the independent, non-management members of the board and preside over meetings where Jones is not present.
Dunigan says "my 34 years as a director of Old National has been an outstanding experience for me and one that I will treasure. I have tremendous confidence that Becky Skillman and Bob Jones will provide the leadership that takes the company to even greater heights."
Jones calls Dunigan a "selfless servant leader" and says the company will be in "exceptional hands" with Skillman’s new role. "In her three years of Board service, Becky has consistently demonstrated her skills as a highly collaborative and innovative leader and team builder."
Skillman has been with the board in 2013. Like Jones, her new role will begin May 12.
