Plainfield Invests in Fiber Network

Subscribe NowPlainfield leaders say a recently-installed Comcast fiber network can help the town become a technology and business hub in central Indiana. Town Council President Robin Brandgard says the over $650,000 project covers more than 230 businesses.
Comcast says the fiber build provides speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. Brandgard says the network shows "the potential this area holds for businesses to locate and expand." He says the speed provided "will surpass the needs that even the most technologically-advanced company might have."
J Ennis Fabrics is one of the 236 businesses that is covered by the fiber build. IT Supervisor Sam Hung says the company needed an increase in Internet speed to process its orders, and says the Comcast fiber service provides it.
