Fishers Projects Land Incentives

The Braden Business Systems and STANLEY Security Systems plans involve more than $20 million in investment and hundreds of jobs.
The council approved both economic development agreements unanimously at Monday’s meeting. The city says both projects are expected to move forward as quickly as possible. The incentives involved millions of dollars in tax abatement and waived impact fees.
Last week, STANLEY Security announced plans to invest nearly $16 million in an 80,000 square-foot, three-story corporate headquarters and bring more than 300 jobs to the Fishers Point Business Park. The company says the move will provide easy interstate access through a planned I-69 interchange at 106th Street and allow its leadership team to operate under one roof.
Braden Business Systems’ plans involve a move from Indianapolis to the Nickel Plate District. The $5.6 million project includes the relocation of 70 current employees and the addition of up to 90 new workers by 2020.
Those announcements came the same week that Arizona-based Republic Services Inc. (NYSE: RSG) said it would invest $13 million into a new shared services center in the city and add up to 469 jobs by 2025. Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness says the city has already secured more job commitments this year than it did in all of 2015.
