Methodist Hospitals will break ground on the $10 million project at the health system’s Northlake campus.
Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana reported last September that the ground breaking would happen within the month with construction expected to be completed in October 2016. No explanation has been given for the delay on the project.
The publication says the project is part of a 10-year, $134 million project to upgrade Methodist’s facilities in Gary and Merillville.
The ground breaking will be held February 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the Northlake campus. Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson will speak at the event, along with Gary Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Chuck Hughes and several officials from Methodist Hospitals.
