Show producer John Kilroy says a large amount of business was done at the motorsports industry conference, which "bodes well for the industry in 2016."
Show leaders say more than 1,200 manufacturers took part in this year’s event, displaying high-performance automotive components and precision machining equipment. It also featured more than three dozen events, including the Advanced Engineering Technology Conference, the Race Track Business Conference and the International Council of Motorsports Sciences Annual Congress.
The event allows Indiana to showcase its motorsports sector, which the Indiana Economic Development Corp. says supports more than 421,000 Hoosier jobs. Visit Indy estimates the show generates an economic impact of more than $55 million.
Show organizers say they are already preparing for the 2016 PRI Trade Show, which is scheduled for December 8-10 at the Indiana Convention Center.
