Cynthia Sturgis Landrum has been named chief executive officer-director of the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library. She currently serves as assistant director for public services at the Oak Park Public Library.

Landrum is set to begin in the new role at the beginning of the year. She holds degrees from Northwestern University, the University of Southern Mississippi and is a PhD candidate at Simmons College.

Her previous positions include leadership roles in Pennsylvania and Arizona.
