Schaffer & Layher offers services for commercial, government, nonprofit, healthcare and individual clients throughout southwest Michigan.
Kruggel Lawton Managing Partner Barry Hall says "Schaffer & Layher’s professionals and culture are very similar to ours, and we see this as a great fit for both firms. In addition, their specialization in not-for-profit and government audits will allow for more depth in client service. Schaffer & Layher is known throughout the state of Michigan for having expertise in these niches."
Kruggel Lawton already has offices in South Bend and Elkhart. It was established more than 50 years ago. Schaffer & Layher was formed as McMurray, Marks and Edmunds in the mid-1970s. Dave Schaffer and Mike Layher became the owners in the early-1990s and changed the firm’s name to Schaffer & Layher in 2006.

Our name is changing but this will be a seamless transition as clients will still meet with our local team.
