Two Indiana accounting firms are merging. Indianapolis-based Katz, Sapper & Miller and Krouse, Kern & Co. in Fort Wayne say the deal will take effect next month. The merged firm will operate under the Katz, Sapper & Miller name.

The companies say the merged operation will boast more than a century of tax, accounting and business consulting experience. KSM Managing Partner David Resnick calls the combination "an ideal partnership," saying Krouse, Kern & Co. has provided "unmatched service" to middle-market, family-owned businesses.

Krouse, Kern & Co. has operated in Fort Wayne for 65 years. Katz, Sapper & Miller has offices in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and New York.
