Central Indiana Permit Numbers Increase

Subscribe NowThe Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis says single-family building permits increased 9 percent last month, compared to the same month in 2014. The organization says, so far this year, permit numbers are consistent with last year in the nine-county area.
BAGI says, as of October 2015, there were 4,378 new home permits issued in the greater Indianapolis area, compared to 4,373 in the first 10 months of last year.
Chief Executive Officer Steve Lains says the October increase "is a positive indicator of economic stability." He says it is clear that "consumers are interested in building, remodeling or upgrading their home, which is exciting for our industry and central Indiana communities."
