Pacers Practice Facility Set For Key Vote

Subscribe NowThe Capital Improvement Board in Indianapolis is expected to vote Monday afternoon on a final facility agreement for the Indiana Pacers’ planned $50 million practice and office space. The organization says the project will be privately financed. St. Vincent will become the anchor tenant of the development with a cardiovascular and sports performance-focused center.
The project will be built near Bankers Life Fieldhouse. For St. Vincent, the new center will give the longtime health care provider a marquis presence in downtown Indianapolis. The Pacers say it will help the team compete for top league talent. St. Vincent Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Nalli calls the collaboration between St. Vincent and the Pacers "broader than naming rights."
The CIB has already approved the overall plans for the center.
The 130,000 square-foot facility will be built space that currently houses an employee parking lot.
