The Agbiosciences Innovation Summit in December will bring together key industry, academic and community players to discuss the state’s current strengths and continuing to build an environment where innovation can be "nurtured and promoted." AgriNovus Indiana says it will also include opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs to connect.
AgriNovus Indiana Communications Director JoBeth Zimmerman says agbiosciences industry in Indiana is "truly becoming a center of innovation and generating businesses and investment from all over the globe." She adds the opportunity to expand has and grow within agbiosciences has never been better. Zimmerman tells Inside INdiana Business the industry pumps more than $25 billion annually into the Hoosier economy and it can be traced to 20 percent of jobs in the state.

The summit will be December 10 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Organizers say it will cover solutions topics connected to the state and world, including "one of the biggest challenges facing our society today," feeding the estimated 9 billion people expected to inhabit the planet by 2050.
