The school is aiming to raise the remaining $9 million of the total goal over the next five years through its "Dream Big" initiative.
Officials say the campaign places a "strong emphasis" on the school’s hospitality administration, advanced manufacturing and healthcare programs, with more than three-quarters of funds raised supporting those parts of the school.
Executive Director of Resource Development Oliver Barie is overseeing the campaign and says it was "created in an effort to align the College’s goals with the needs of our community. Now more than ever, Ivy Tech Northeast will serve as a critical tool in the development of our local workforce, the region’s plan for economic growth, and our quality of place."
The announcement for the school follows a recent series of transformative campaigns going public at other colleges throughout the school including Indiana University and Purdue University.
A campaign committee is supporting the effort and is comprised of college leaders, as well as representatives from companies with ties to the region such as Hagerman Construction, Asher Agency and Auburn Gear.
