Kokomo to Host All-Star Game

Kokomo's Municipal Stadium was recently voted "Best Summer-Collegiate Ballpark" for the second year in a row.

Kokomo Municipal Stadium has been chosen to host the Prospect League’s 2016 All-Star Game. The new stadium, which is home to the Kokomo Jackrabbits baseball team, was named "Best Summer-Collegiate Ballpark" for 2015 by Ballpark Digest.

The Jackrabbits played their inaugural season at Municipal Stadium this year. Ballpark Business ranked the Jackrabbits at number 26 in its 2015 attendance category, making the organization the highest-ranked new team in the country.

Prospect League Commissioner Bryan Wickline calls Kokomo a "natural choice" for the game, adding, "The rest of the league observed how the Jackrabbits quickly energized the city."

The All-Star game and related events are set for July.
