University Hall serves as the new home of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. The five-story building also provides space for the School of Social Work and houses the IU Foundation, the IU Alumni Association, the IUPUI Office of Alumni Relations and other administrative offices.
IUPUI says the building offers an interactive classroom that features immersive touchscreen video walls.
"University Hall promises to strengthen our campus community, connecting people once spread across campus, offering a venue for academic programming and generating opportunities for serendipitous interactions. University Hall also puts student success center stage — a strategic priority for the entire university. It’s the latest in a series of projects that concentrate people and energy at the core of our campus, the most important elements in generating an intellectual community," IUPUI Chancellor Nasser Paydar said.
The University Hall dedication ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the IUPUI Campus Center in Indianapolis. Guided tours will be available to the public from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
