Gary Lands $3M in Federal Funding

The funding will support road infrastructure projects and future development of the Gary/Chicago International Airport.
The EDA is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The organization says the funding will help provide for more access to the state’s interstate, rail and air transportation network.
Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson says the Buffington Harbor Drive project will "support existing and future business that will translate to jobs for Gary residents."
