Carmel-based Orbis Education has named Steve Hodownes chief executive officer. He previously served as CEO of the College of Online & Continuing Education at Southern New Hampshire University. Orbis Founder and current CEO Dan Briggs will become chief growth officer.

The healthcare education program management company says it is excited to have Hodownes join the team.

“Steve will bring a significant level of experience and leadership to the team, allowing Orbis to continue toward its goal of being the premier Outsourced Program Management company in the healthcare education sector,” Briggs said.

Hodownes begins his new role in October. His colleague Johnson Au-Yeung, will also join Orbis as CIO.
