The Fever defeated the Liberty 66-51 Tuesday in New York in game three of the Eastern Conference finals. The team forced the decisive game after coming back from an 18-point deficit in game two.
The Fever defeated the Lynx in 2012 to win the team’s first WNBA championship.
A championship would mark a storybook ending of the career of Fever star Tamika Catchings, who says she will retire at the end of the season.
