The gift is part of the public launch of IU’s $2.5 billion fundraising campaign. IU says "For All: The Indiana University Bicentennial Campaign" has already raised nearly $1.2 billion from more than 200,000 donors.
The school says the donation reflects the McRobbies’ personal and professional interests. Michael McRobbie joined IU in 1997 as the university’s first vice president for information technology. Laurie Burns McRobbie held technology roles in higher education for more than 25 years. IU says the McRobbies have made annual gifts to the university since 1997.
