City to Host First ‘HireAnderson’ Job Fair

Subscribe NowThe City of Anderson will host a job fair in October to help connect unemployed or underemployed residents with local and regional employers. The HireAnderson Job Fair is part of the city’s new HireAnderson Initiative, which aims to help residents find job opportunities in Anderson, Madison County and central Indiana.
The job fair will take place October 14 from 11am to 3pm at City Hall and feature more than 20 employers.
“Anderson is on the move. We are attracting manufacturers from around the globe and growing our businesses here in Anderson. We are equally committed to connecting our citizens with these companies and these new job opportunities," said Anderson Mayor Kevin Smith. "The HireAnderson Job Fair is another step in facilitating those connections and getting our Anderson citizens jobs."
Participating employers include:
Sirmax, NTN, GTI, Xerox, Carter Express, Community Hospital, HDP, Madison County Community Health Center, Barber Manufacturing, AccuTrac, Precision Strip, First Merchants Bank, Keihin, Prairie Farms, Anderson Power & Light, Continental Engineering, First Call Staffing, Harvest Supermarkets, Hoosier Park, Royal Interpack, Tecnoplast, and Hy-Pro Filtration.
Participating service organizations and those providing employment-focused assistance include:
Intersect, Inc., Anderson Public Library, City of Anderson, and Job Source/Work One.
