Grace College men’s basketball coach Jim Kessler and former Bethel College men’s basketball player Rico Swanson are among this year’s honorees.
Jim Kessler has led the Grace College men’s basketball team for 38 years. He has earned one NAIA National Championship, nine DII National Tournament appearances, four quarterfinal appearances and two semifinal appearances. The team is currently ranked fourth all-time in active wins in NAIA DII men’s basketball.
Rico Swanson helped lead Bethel College to three national championships during his four years with the team. His record with the team was 139 wins and 12 losses. He played professional basketball in Europe before returning to Bethel for six seasons as an assistant coach.
