He is a biological sciences professor and director of the school’s Stream and Wetland Ecology Laboratory.
Lamberti will lead the GLOBES program for the 2015-2016 academic year, following the departure of Jessica Hellman. She has accepted a position as director of the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment. His research focus includes human impacts on aquatic ecosystems and the role of climate change and invasive species in wetlands.
The GLOBES program, formed in 2005, is a graduate training program focusing on environment and society. Students in the program work toward the GLOBES Certificate in Environment & Society, which is based on a training model developed with support from the National Science Foundation grant that launched the initiative.
