Two Indiana high schools are among the 500 best on a national list. The annual Newsweek America’s Top High Schools rankings consider factors including standardized test scores, college-readiness and performance of economically challenged students.

The publication’s overall methodology centers on rating the top schools that prepare students for college.

Signature School in Evansville ranked 61st in the nation and Zionsville Community High School placed 328th. Signature School was noted for its 100 percent graduate rate and 100 percent of students being "college bound." It scored 86.4 percent for college readiness. Zionsville High School came in at 95.8 percent graduation rate, 95.6 percent of its students will go to college and it measured 78.6 percent on the college readiness scale.
